Hope y'all are having a great summer! I'm officially in my last week of being a corporate-America employee, which is really exciting and really scary all at the same time. Oye vey! I'm so excited for the next chapter in my life, but am of course feeling uneasy at the same time. Once I'm back in school and in the groove of things, I'll be back to my normal self methinks!

This outfit is probably one of my favorites right now. I'm super into simple and comfy, and this is perfect example of that! 

And these boots… As I've mentioned before, these Seychelles boots were totally made for walking', because I can wear these all day long.

As the months and years go by, my personal-style becomes more subdued. I remember always wanting to stand out when I was growing up, but now I look for comfort and an outfit that just emulates my personality and how how I'm just feeling that day. There's rarely the thought of "how can I look a little bizarre today?" In the summertime, it's pretty much ALL about comfort and keeping cool for me. I don't do super well in the heat, so I really tend to be more conscientious of that. I've also recently become addicted to the ASOS cotton skater-dresses, because they're so lightweight and when they're on the sale rack, you can snag for like ten or fifteen bucks.

So let's talk about shoes. I mean, honestly, we all know this is crazy-Em's favorite topic. This past May when I was in Grand Rapids, Michigan, I was lucky enough to have a spare moment to visit the Wolverine Company Store. There I fell in love with these incredibly comfortable platform sandals, and a beautiful pair of Hush Puppies. Oh my Heavenly Father, those were insane. I have dreams about those platforms… Anyways, these CAT sandals were a lot cheaper, especially with a 40% off discount, and I literally wear these all day errday, guys. These things are ridiculously comfortable. There's an EVO outsole, which makes them like walking on foam and you kinda feel like you're walking on air. It's pretty freakin' sweet, dudes.

Since I've moved (and finally found my camera remote,) I've been able to take outfit photos in my backyard! I'm still getting the hang of working with the space, but it's a lot better than working with a apartment back-stairwell. (During this particular session, it was extremely humid out, and lens kept fogging up. It was crazy!) I'm totally not one of those types of bloggers who can just start taking outfit photos in the middle of the city with tons of people watching. Even though I know what my intentions are for the photographs, I know that what I'm doing can be perceived by onlookers as a pretty narcissistic act. And boy, I'm definitely not confident enough in my "modeling" to argue with those people and their freaked-out looks, so that's why sister goes to the backyard or some private place like a back-stairwell. Hi, I'm a little creepy. And apparently this is confessions part one? 

Anyways, let's talk about these boots. OH, these grandly beautiful ankle-boots, I really do adore them. I can wear them for 12 hours and not know the difference. It's absolutely incredible!… They're by one of my favorite shoe brands, Seychelles and I nabbed these suckers called the "unlock the door" ankle boot. But I honestly don't know how or why I nabbed 'em for only $39.99 on 6pm.com. I'm sharing the price because I'm oh, so proud of myself, for a couple days later they were back up to $81.32. How does that happen?!

 This dress is also something that I adore, because it fits my body-type quite well, if I do say so myself! Also, I do well with a higher waistline because my hips are a little crooked from my scoliosis. So when I wear a tighter fitting dress with a lower waistline, I look a bit lopsided. (See?! Confessions part one!)
